Pocket Oracle of The Fairies by Karen Kay
I picked this deck to feature in the coffee and cards community because I was in Glastonbury the other day and I saw a woman sat next to me who had obviously just bought this deck and I got so excited that I had to speak to her and tell her how great the deck was and how she’s going to love it and that it’s such a uplifting playful happy deck to work with so I wanted to write this blog on the pocket Oracle of fairies. 🧚♀️
As I said this energy of deck is so perfect for a pick me up as it’s full of colour, it’s full of bright colours which to me symbolises expression, creativity, life force, confidence, empowerment, happiness, joy, success, love and it’s also holds an inner child energy inviting you to connect to curiosity, wonder, magic and imagination.
The pink box symbolises joy, love, playfulness, optimism and the child-like fairy is a symbol for your inner child, remember when you used to dress up in sparkles and pretend to be a fairy or princess?
She's holding a wand that symbolises magic and your own power. The wings offer freedom and expansion and the gold leaves offers spiritual growth and wisdom and the pink lotus symbolises compassion, healing and blossoming in life.
I always go for this deck when I’m feeling a little deflated in life or when I need some encouragement and little voices cheering me on which is what I think the fairy energy does. The messages feel like a bunch of your childhood friends coming and knocking on your door begging you to come out and play with them and I feel as adults we miss that, we grieve that because of our now responsibilities and the our stress of daily life, we lose the magic, we lose the imagination, we lose the curiosity, we lose the innocence and this deck helps us to connect back to that spark within us.
This was my first pocket sized Oracle deck as well because I just think it suits the energy of the cards and the energy of the fairies as well and through play, through imagination, through connecting back to nature and your innner child.
There’s a lot of healing cards within this deck where you are invited when you’re feeling drained, depleted and lost to come back to that child-like joy again. (The message below shows this perfectly!).
I recently got back into colouring books, the diamond art canvases, reading fantasy books and dancing too music that I loved growing up and the times when I’m so exhausted or sad and I don’t feel like doing anything fun I realise that creativity, play and music are the best form of medicine and i make myself do something fun.
Intuition Practice:
If you have this deck, I invite you to go through all the pictures and cards as in every oracle deck you will have a favourite card that you just absolutely adore and maybe a card that triggers you, scares you and that you don’t like.
With the card that you love, why? What is it about the card? How does it make you feel? What symbolism from the card are you drawn to? Often your favorite card is linked to part of who you are at soul level.
Spend some time reflecting on the card you don't like and exploring the triggers and mirrors it offers you. How does the card make you feel? Why don't you like it? What symbolism is on the card that you don't like? When you don't like a card it usually has a message, something that is coming up to your conscious awareness to heal, acknowledge and release.

Card message from the Pocket oracle of Faries Deck, These two cards are the embodiment of what this deck is all about, her energy and her messages that when you feel drained, depleted, when everything feels dark and grey, when you feel you dont remember who you are or when you last felt alive it is inviting you to connect back to the magic, wonder and fun that your soul is needing from you. Life stress, demands, responsibilties and social media drains your life force, your spark, your energy, leeching you from colour, joy and light, while life is a natural flow of honouring the good and bad moments, we can't and don't havento stay down, stay depleted and drained. We are allowed to live, to shine and to be happy. just as much as we are allowed to break, cry and be angry and hurt. One day you will get up, you will have had enough of being down and just existing, you will come back to you, to remember life is for living. To come back to your light, to nuture your energy and find courage and confidence to stand in your power. Your energy of self love and not dim yourself to fit in to make others happy.
Where in my life am I giving away my light and life force energy?
How can I protect my energy and light?
What activites bring me joy and gives me energy that I can bring into my daily life?
Do you have this deck? What energy does she offer you? Please let us know in the comments your favourite cards and your least favourite cards of the deck. Maybe you would like to put a short oracle message from the deck in the comments below.
